Teachers, parents, principals, or students who wish to vie for 2009's Champion of Step With It®, Singapore! will have to fulfill the following:
- Communication
Show positive results in communicating Step With It, Singapore! through students articles in their school's newspaper, linking their website to the Step With It, Singapore! website, and communicating the programme internally through posters, and banners that are part of the launch kit.
- Sustaining the Programme
Demonstrate the effort that they have taken to incorporate Step With It®, Singapore! into their schools' PE curriculum, and sustain the interest in the programme throughout the year, including fielding a team for the mid-year Stretch Off, a contest that will involve teams using the resistance bands in a workout (dance, martial arts, aerobics can be incorporated).
- X-Factor
Exhibit that special "X" factor - positivity, enthusiasm, and being a great Step With It®, Singapore! ambassador
Anyone can be nominated as Champion of Step With It®, Singapore! A trophy, book voucher, and funds for the winning school to further promote active lifestyle are amongst the prize for this fitness ambassador.
Champion teacher will win himself/herself an individual prize while school stands to win attractive cash prize to promote active living in schools!
